These days, as I move closer to a divorce, I have been
intentionally looking for God in the small everyday moments of my day. Last
night, that moment was when my son David was singing in the bath tub.
For those of you that don’t know David, he is very outgoing,
funny, loves being around people, and wears his heart out on his sleeve (just
like his mama). He loves sports and is super competitive. He also has the gift
of gab, and when he enters a room, the energy of the room goes up a few
notches.
So last night as the house was quiet and I sat with my
mother talking about the day, there came the sweet melody from the bathroom. I
instantly felt this calm spirit come over me and I knew God was in that moment.
God was whispering in my ear, “Sarah, you are going to be ok. Do you hear your
son, David, singing in the midst of calamity? So should you, for I am with you.”
